The Frame Goes Up!!!!!
Building Delivered 10/04/02
The foundation is complete
WHH breaks ground & cement is poured for the core of the new barn!!!
9/12/02 Over the weekend Steven excavated the site of the footings and frost walls of the core of the new barn. Today, Northern Foundations formed and poured the footings and promises frost walls by next week!!!! The building material is set to be delivered the week of September 23.
Outdoor ring gets auto sprinklers! Steven finished installing the automatic sprinklers for the outdoor ring. Even with the rubber/sand mix footing the ring can get dusty. Now early every morning the sprinklers will wet the ring. If needed instructors and staff can rewater anytime with the touch of 2 buttons!!
Hear Judy in stereo Sunday's students heard their lessons without Judy having to even raise her voice. It's a WIN, WIN situation! The students felt like they were in the coliseum and the spectators could hear easily. With the cordless headset and the ceiling mounted speakers the whole process is seamless. THANKS STEVEN! The Heat is on ! In December, we turned on the heat--in our riding riding, that is! The ring is kept around 40 to 45 degrees which we find perfect for winter riding. The footing doesn't freeze and neither do we! The concrete work is finished 11/15/01 The concrete pads for the doors are done we can finally close the doors. Sara and Lexi had a great time helping pour over 14 yards for the door pads and all of the automatic waterers. Every pasture now has it's own waterer. Now we just have to hook up the heaters before it really get's cold. The insulation in the arena is in the ceiling so it should stop raining condensation on our heads ( it only really happened once : ) ) The furnace has arrived so with a little luck the arena heat will be in by December 1. White Horse Hill Results from the WNEPHA Finals 2001 Emily Fulop - Champion Mini Medal Finals on her horse Cimarron City Boy Clare Hawthorne was 6th In the Junior Medal Final on Total Request Live Helios and Sasha Milam placed 8th in the Junior Medal Final Helios and Sasha where also pleasure Champion at the horse show. Congratulations to all three White Horse Hill riders who went to the finals
10/15/01 The Misting system is done
The water line is done 9/14/01 The water line has been a real production with over 5000' of buried piping. We are getting very close to having full water pressure to the barn and the rest of the property. This will allow us to finish the misting system in the arena and the watering systems for the pasture and outdoor riding ring. Good dust control is a priority for us and we think it will make the riding experience safer and more enjoyable
Go to the Pictures page and you can see the progress. Stay tuned there is more information to come.
